The host was super wonderful. It's 10 minutes' walk from Congress Centrum.

What a lovely place to stay! Lucky for us that we were upgraded to an apartment which meant we could spread ourselves out. This hotel is so typical of what you would expect in an Austrian village, it didn't disappoint. Facilities included large boiler room for drying clothes, a lobby for hanging wet coats, a heated boot rack and a balcony that gave us such breathtaking views. The hostess couldn't have done any more for us, we especially appreciated the 'packed' breakfast goodies on our day of departure due to an early start. We went half board which meant using the restaurant 5 minutes up the road and again, this was excellent.

We are so happy with our stay at Bergwald guesthouse. Katharina (the hostess) was so nice and helpful and made the most delicious scrambled eggs we have ever tasted. She was also very good at languages ​​and knew the area very well. The room was clean and very cozy with a balcony where we could enjoy the fantastic view of Alpbach. We will get back to Alpbach, and we know where we will live :-)

Haus Bergwald is spotlessly clean and decorated in regional style. Breakfast is fabulous. Frau Katharina who runs the place is very nice and helpful. I can not imagine a better place to stay for winter holidays in Alpbach. Bergwald is located 4 minutes drive from the town's centre which is perfect - you have silence and beatiful views. Also you can find a very good regional restaurant in the nearby (200 meters). Our daughter Nina was very happy there. She said that Frau Katharina who wear regional dresses every day resembled her a princess from her fairytales. Highly recommended!

The hotel is situated in a very quiet and beautiful location. The view it offers over the Austrian Alps is breathtaking. The room we've stayed in, was nice and very clean. It must be said that the biggest asset of Bergwald is most definitely Mrs. Katharina Moser, the owner of the hotel. She was extremely friendly and helpful, always being very concerned about the well-being of her guests. We would like to express our gratitude to Mrs Katharina Moser for making our holiday a most pleasant one.

Bergwald is a little, pretty, confortable hotel with a spectacular countryside view of Alpbachtal. Katharina offers an helpfull hospitality, with kindness and sensitivity. The quality/price connection is very good. We are going to come back certain in the next future. Sergia Chiarenza

The comfort of the hotel combined with the relaxed atmosphere and the astounding views were enhanced by the hospitality and welcome from the proprietor. She made my wife and I completely welcome in an excellent hotel. I recommend it for all! In addition, the dinner at the gasthaus along the road, and the breakfast at the Bergwald were top quality and excellent value for money.

The Moser family was very nice and especially helpful. Katerina did an outstanding job in making our stay in the Bergwald a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay there again and recommend the Bergwald to friends and family.

The hotel was located on top of the mountain which made getting there quite difficult in the snow. However, Katerina gave us a lift to town several times and was very helpful.

The owner of the house was very helpfull and friendly. She gave us a lovely room and helped us settle. Breakfast was wonderfull. We enjoyed our stay allot.

The staff was very helpful. View from the balcony was amazing! Local food (milk, butter, bread) was very tasty! Definetely come hery again.
